Altek AI Chip SUNNY M1
Altek Sunny M1 is an ultra-compact SoC specifically designed for edge vision AI applications. It integrates an optimized Neural Network Engine (NNE) and a dedicated Image Signal Processor (ISP), eliminating the need for external DRAM. With fine-grained power management, it enables highly efficient edge computing within extremely limited board space.
It has already been adopted by numerous international brands with proven shipment records in applications such as notebooks, IP cameras, doorbells, cleaning robots, smart speakers, automotive systems, drones, air conditioners, human presence detection, and smart locks.
In terms of specifications, it supports direct connection to Bayer/Mono sensors up to 16MP. The NNE supports inference at VGA resolution. Interfaces include MIPI Rx/Tx, I²C, and SPI. It is manufactured using a 28nm process and packaged in a compact 5×5 mm² FCCSP.
Power consumption performance:
Standby: <100 µW
Motion detection: ~3 mW
Ultra-low-power imaging: ~10 mW (1 fps)
Detection: ~150 mW (30 fps)
These features fully support long standby and always-on scenarios.
AI capabilities include:
Human detection, face/head pose estimation, gaze tracking, distraction/fatigue detection, gesture recognition, human pose estimation, and auto framing—enabling terminal devices to easily integrate vision AI even under the most stringent space and power constraints.
